Artist's Statement:

In 1978 I rediscovered my childhood love of drawing and painting and in 1980 my passion for plein air painting.     I am convienced that the involvement of  all the senses, not just seeing, enriches the result that appers on the canvas.  The overall experience of being out in and coping with the elements leads me to an exquisite appreciation of one of God's  most precious gifts, nature.  The resulting  urge to share my feelings about breathtaking beauty, majestic power, courage and ever changing seasons represented by nature becomes a drive to paint.  Perhaps those of us who paint nature can contribute to a sense of responsibility to protect this sometimes abused gift.

 home in Talbot County, Georgia I have painted in West Vriginia, Vriginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Florida, Maine and Montana.
